Brief

Context

The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity is the world's biggest celebration of creativity in communication. 28,000 entries from all over the world are showcased and judged at the Festival. Winners receive the highly coveted Lions trophies.

At present the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity only recognizes "professional creativity". A brilliant piece of creative work conceived by an individual passionate about a brand will go unnoticed, even if it garners millions of viewings online… We, at eYeka, believe that EVERYONE can be creative. We want the Cannes Lions' organizers to acknowledge that creative talent exists outside the four walls of advertising agencies by opening a new "consumer creativity" category at the next Cannes Lions for people like YOU, the public!

We want you to Roar Out Loud for consumer creativity so that even the Lions can hear you!

Creative Challenge

Create a striking, clever poster or video that will convince advertising professionals that "consumer creativity" deserves to be featured at the Cannes Lions.

"Consumer creativity" is creative work coming from non-professionals (people who do not work in the industry, i.e creative agencies, production studios, etc..).

You must use our campaign slogan: Roar Out Loud! in your poster or video. Include our campaign's Facebook page address in your entry so that more people can join: www.facebook.com/ROLCannes

We want to see a positive tone in your entry. We love the Cannes Lions and respect creative agencies. We just want the organizers to take notice of consumer creativity and consider that it is worthy of inclusion in the Cannes Lions awards.

We are open to any style of posters or videos. Think about something that is arresting, intelligent yet brief and to the point. Something that will impress even a seasoned creative director in an advertising agency.

Format

Pictures, illustrations, video, animation.

Winning Criteria

We are open to any style of posters or videos. Think about something that is arresting, intelligent yet brief and to the point. Something that will impress even a seasoned creative director in an advertising agency.

Your work has the chance to be featured on the Roar Out Loud! campaign page on Facebook: www.facebook.com/ROLCannes, on the campaign blog http://rolcannes.wordpress.com/ and to be shown during the eYeka workshop on consumer creativity at the Cannes Lions on the 22nd of June.
