Brief

Create the change that makes life exhilarating!

CONTEXT

Many people are stuck in their comfort zone and miss out on what life has to offer. They hesitate to make that important step to get out of their comfort zone because they are afraid of the unknown that lies in front of them. They focus too much on the destination (and the consequences of failing to reach it) as opposed to enjoying the journey.

Coca-Cola believes that change is the momentum that pushes you forward. If you don't try, you have not lived. By trying you are not wishing for change, you are making it happen. You become the change you want to see in the world. By taking the steps to try something new or different, you’ll get to enjoy more exhilarating, fulfilling and developing experiences that will make your life richer and more enjoyable.

BRIEF

Put your creative talent to good use by showing people why taking steps to try something new or different creates the most exhilarating experiences in one's life.

Show us how making a change in your world makes life exhilarating. It is the trying that matters so show us why we should step out of our comfort zone and enjoy the journey, more than the destination. Tell us an engaging, exhilarating story that shows what an exciting, fulfilling and developing experience trying can be.

It can be true or something you simply wish for. You have creative freedom.

Some examples that could inspire you (we are sure you will have better stories to tell): You could think of how a young woman who is pretty shy accepted an invitation to accompany a friend to a salsa class and slowly gained the confidence to join in, practicing regularly and developing a new, expressive and artistic side of her personality, transforming her life one dance step at a time. Or you could think of how established stars in their particular fields dare to take steps to explore their talent in other fields, e.g. when Yao Ming, the NBA Chinese basketball player went to participate in American idol and explore his potential talent for music, he took small steps over a long period of time to put himself through a tough process of learning and practicing, and finally performed in front of the judges. He may not have been the best performer of all but he had a great time being on stage, jamming with bands and finding another side of his personality he never knew before.

Winning Criteria:

We are looking for original, highly creative entries that convey the benefit of taking steps to try something new or different: to create the most exhilarating experiences in one's life. Your story should be engaging, positive and full of energy.

Guidelines

· Language: English or any language with English subtitles
· Don't tell a long, overly serious and dull story, we need to inspire and energize people so we need to see some movement – some refreshing energy. Be optimistic, dynamic, engaging and exhilarating.
· Please use the visual reference of the Coca-Cola logo and/or the contour bottle image if you want to mention Coca-Cola.
· Don't just tell people to change or try something new. Make sure that your entry, be it a video or a picture conveys the benefit of taking steps to try something new or different: to create the most exhilarating experiences in one's life.


FORMAT

30 - 60 seconds videos, animations, photographs or illustrations.

PRIZES

One prize winner in each discipline as follows:

Video: 8 000 €
Animation: 8 000 €
Photography/illustration: 3 000 €

INFRINGEMENT NOTICE

Contestants undertake to submit creative and original works.
Contestants warrant that they hold all rights upon submitted works and warrant that the use of the works in the contest does not violate any third parties' rights.
Contestants acknowledge that in case of breach of these rules, the organizer shall be entitled to deem their participation and the prize granting as void.
