Show us how little changes can make a big positive difference to your world.

What do taking shorter showers, recycling and washing at low temperatures have in common? It’s all about simple habits around the home that make the future for us and our planet just a little bit better.

We call that "sustainable living", living in a way that is good for everyone – the planet and the people.

But when it comes to the environment, most people do not know where to start, are not ready to completely change their lifestyle and do not like to be lectured about what they should or should not do. This makes it hard for those concerned about the planet and its people to get their message across.

Unilever wants to inspire billions of people to take small, everyday actions that add up to make a big difference towards a more sustainable future. Your job is to show these people how fun and easy it can be.

Imagine that your good friend is visiting you for the weekend. He likes the idea of doing his bit to create a better future for all, but like most people, he thinks that being nagged about his impact on the environment is a bit annoying. He is a bit lazy too and would prefer an easy way to do it, preferably one that requires little efforts on his side.

You have already made some changes at home (in the way you consume, recycle and wash) things that help you live more sustainably such as; only boiling enough water for your cup of tea, washing at low temperature, showering for shorter time, recycling empty packaging. All of which helps improve our environment.

Your challenge: Create a short animation or a video, which is humorous and easy to understand so that everyone, even your lazy friend, could adopt more eco-friendly and sustainable living habits.

Don't forget that your friend is easily bored and doesn't like to be lectured at…so be surprising and light-hearted if you want to convince him.

No matter if you only boil enough water for your tea, or turning off the tap while brushing teeth, we want you to surprise us with a great story that will capture your friend’s imagination, entertain him and ultimately inspire him, and many others to make the small changes that add up to a more sustainable lifestyle.

FORMAT: videos or animation maximum 45 sec.

Winning Criteria:

Entries that show in a creative way how anyone can easily adopt more sustainable living practices at home benefiting the planet will have the best chances to win.

- Do not lecture people or produce another clichés video with melting ice-caps. Use a lighter way to communicate your ideas that people can relate to in their day-to-day, and make us smile!
- We want you to share simple and easy to do ideas that everyone could adopt with minimum efforts (not installing a gigantic windfarm in your garden)
