Brief

Context

Milk. Milk is drunk by millions of families around the world – largely by kids but also by their parents – and often forms an integral part of the breakfast routine to provide the right nutrition for the day.

Precisely because milk is everyday and everywhere, it is often overlooked and not enough attention is given to its role in building strong families, both physically and emotionally.

With 145 years of dairy experience, Dutch Lady Milk’s mission is to build physically and emotionally strong families. But what does “physically and emotionally strong families” mean? Milk gives physical strength and energy, and progressive family values, such as being active and playing together as a family, provide emotional strength and resilience. Together, they provide a holistic family strength that is more than just strong bones and healthy teeth.

Today, we need your help in showing us what building physically and emotionally strong families means and the role of Dutch Lady in doing so. Amaze with your creativity and insight!

Creative Challenge

In a presentation with visuals and text, show how bonding and connecting with each other, through being active together, builds physically and emotionally strong families.

We are looking for ideas to illustrate “physically and emotionally strong families” that will appeal to a mum whose primary goal in life is to make sure her kids grow healthy and strong, both mentally and physically, to have a bright future. She wants to raise children who are smart and are able to overcome obstacles and knows that it is not just about the right nutrition, it is about both parents guiding and nurturing them. She believes, “In our family, we try to make time to do fun activities together. In these moments, I feel we are connected and happy as a family. In order for us all to be active, we need to be healthy and full of strength and energy.”

This is not always easy: while regularly spending quality time to do fun activities together is important, there are many big and little things in life that get in the way:  perhaps dad works late hours and has conference calls in the evenings, or the kids have enrichment classes over the weekend. It always seems that at least one member of the family is missing and there is never the time to all be together.

We are looking for ideas that will help reconcile the pressure of life’s duties with the desire to do fun things together, which will bring the family closer together emotionally; we are not looking for clichéd ideas that simply show families engaged in fun activities together.  Show how Dutch Lady Milk can play a role in building physically and emotionally strong families.

Please answer the following four mandatory questions in your entry:

  1. What is your idea about? How does it reconcile the pressure of life’s duties with the desire to do fun things together, which will bring the family closer together emotionally?
  2. How does Dutch Lady Milk contribute to building physically and emotionally strong families?
  3. What are the emotions conveyed in your entry? What makes a family feel this way?
  4. What is interesting and emotionally engaging about your idea that would make people share it with friends who are a mum or a dad? We want more detail and not simply “because my idea will appeal to mums and dads.”

Tips

The examples are only provided to illustrate our expectations. Please do not use them in your submission or it will be rejected.

The examples are only provided to illustrate our expectations. Please do not use them in your submission or it will be rejected.

Example of a good idea: an image of a picnic blanket laid out in the park with entertainment items and devices on it – the dad’s smart phone and tablet, the son’s books. Next to them, mum and dad are helping junior climb his first tree. Instead of being absorbed in individual screen and entertainment time, they have decided to do something active together. This could be one example of a family doing active things together – now we need your creativity to weave the role of Dutch Lady Milk into this.

Example of a bad idea: a visual of a family at the science center enjoying an afternoon out together. This is a clichéd interpretation of a family day out.
